Workshops
I am open to doing workshops
I am a portrait painter and a member of the Portrait Society of America. I offer workshops for professional and emerging artists that have an interest in developing their portrait knowledge or advancing in painting and drawing skills, and I offer knowledge in the three drawing mediums. The workshops are focused on working from the life model to benefit the class group both in portrait and figure painting instruction. The student environment involves one on one instruction, demos, and group discussions. Classes that are limited in size create a more individual learning surrounding and allow for me to give personal interaction and attention to every student. I do workshop art classes in portrait painting, figure painting, and landscape painting. The mediums that I concentrate on are oil, watercolor, charcoal and tri-color pencil, and graphite pencil medium.
I occasionally teach watercolor class at Chester Springs Studio,
Historic Yellow Springs, Chester Springs, PA.
I enjoy being out in the open-air landscape painting in oil or watercolor with a small group of people, looking at all the seasons, the shapes, colors, light, and shade. The way nature has sculpted the land: there is so much beauty on the surface, creating wonderful scenery. Light has a way of abstracting realism in a perfect way.
I crit and judge artwork for shows.
